Levees West of Berwick

The United States Army Corp of Engineers contracted TKTMJ, Incorporated to surface 25 miles of hurricane protection levee roadway in St. Mary Parish. This large-scale project required placement and grading of 22,750 cubic yards of crushed limestone.

Delivery of materials to the job site was carried out through the coordination of a marine mobilization involving 20 barges and multiple tugboats and a land mobilization that included 20 dump trucks and multiple pieces of grading, excavating and lifting equipment. 64,000,000 pounds of crushed stone was delivered and graded in 18 days.

Through the implementation of professional project and risk management the work was completed three months ahead of schedule and under budget.
