Project Home Again Phases

New Orleans, Louisiana

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, The Leonard and Louise Riggio Foundation, through its subsidiary foundation Project Home Again, contracted TKTMJ to construct 170 energy efficient homes that would meet the Department of Energy’s Builder’s Challenge program.  Supplementing with CDBG funds, the project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

New Building “A” for St. Martin Manor

New Orleans, Louisiana

TKTMJ constructed a 64,000 square feet new building addition to house 82 families.  HUD provided sources of funding and stringent guidelines for construction and reporting were adhered to.

Metairie Manor IV

Metairie, Louisiana

TKTMJ constructed a 64,000 square feet new building addition to house 83 families.  HUD provided sources of funding and stringent guidelines for construction and reporting were adhered to.

Catahoula Hotel

New Orleans, Louisiana

TKTMJ constructed a new 35-room hotel from a dilapidated, blighted structure built in 1845. The construction included stripping the building to its masonry exterior walls, completely re-framing the interior, building new wood windows to match the historic windows, tuck point and rehab the brick exterior, and building a new modern interior.
