In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, St. Paul’s Episcopal School in the Lakeview neighborhood of New Orleans was inundated with more than 8 feet of flood water.  TKTMJ was tasked with design-building a temporary modular campus to replace a classroom building lost during the flood.  TKTMJ coordinated the design and construction of both the site and the modular school units.

TKTMJ was contracted by the Jefferson Parish School Board to relocate 28 school buildings from the Terrytown Elementary Campus is Terrytown, LA to multiple school sites throughout the parish.  These pre-cast concrete structures were built in two halves, each half weighing 75,000 pounds.  TKTMJ was responsible for all site construction prior to the breakdown and transfer of these buildings to the receiving campuses.  All site work and utilities had to be installed, concrete foundations poured in place prior to delivery.  This project was completed on time and within budget.

Work included sitework and utilities construction for the first phase of the new $1.1 billion South Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System.
